Das GEA-„Luftkissen“
Der Druck baut sich über
eine Art Luftkissen auf. Es
handelt sich um eine flache
Platte aus Silikongummi, die
in einem Metallrahmen im
Siegelwerkzeug integriert ist.
Anschließend wird dieses mit
Luft befüllt, wodurch sich das
Silikongummi wie ein Ballon
ausdehnt. Dies wiederum übt
Druck auf das Siegelwerkzeug
aus, das anschließend auf die
Verpackung gepresst wird.
Durch einen gleichmäßi-gen
Siegelabdruck erhalten
die Verpackungen eine gute
Gesamtoptik. Darüber hinaus

It offers the highest level
of seal integrity and guaran-tees
maximum sealing force,
but at the same time excellent
peel behavior.
The GEA „air cushion“
Pressure builds up via a kind of
air cushion. This is a flat plate
made of silicone rubber that is
integrated into a metal frame
of the sealing dieset. When this
is filled with air, the silicone
rubber expands like a balloon,
which in turn puts pressure on
the sealing dieset. This is then
pressed onto the packaging.
A consistently applied seal
imprint makes for a good over-all
product image. Further-more,
it prevents a gradual
loss in pressure, which would
diminish the quality of the
seal. This increases the safety
of the packaging. The silicone
plates themselves are robust
and exchanging them is less
expensive than in other sys-tems,
which translates into
lower costs for replacement

maintenance and storage is
