R+M de Wit GmbH in Velbert is the
owner-managed distribution centre and
at the same time the parent company
of the group. This is where brands and
markets emerge, where individual com-ponents,
complete systems or large con-signments
are shipped in pallets to over
75 countries worldwide. 30,000 articles
are permanently in stock. Only manufac-turers,
distributors and specialist dealers
are supplied. In addition, more than
2,500 km of high-pressure hoses are
processed annually on six production
lines at the site.
Figures prove the steady upward devel-opment
of the second generation of the
owner-managed group of companies. In
1997, when Suttner was taken over by
R+M, 105 employees generated a turn-over
of E 15 million. By 2016, the num-ber
of employees had more than doubled
to 250 and turnover had more than tripled
to E 54 million.
And this is where Dirk Niesen‘s corporate
philosophy comes into play again. The
managing directors Alexander, Bernd
and André de Wit as well as he are always
approachable for the employees. More
than just a ritual: If the sales manager is
not on a business trip, he conducts daily
company rounds to talk to the employees
and collect ideas.
