The annual consumption of meat, poultry
and fish products in Switzerland totals around
500,000 t. Over half of this is produced and
processed directly in the country by around
1,000 Swiss meat product companies. For a
large part of the 8.5 million Swiss this local
meat is becoming increasingly popular and it
is therefore becoming increasingly important
for manufacturers of machines for the meat-processing
industry to have a local presence.
K+G Wetter from Biedenkopf in Middle Hesse
recognised these developments in Switzerland
very early and sought to establish contact with
a local partner. A decision which has paid off.
In order to offer Swiss customers high-quality
machine solutions and fast and reliable service,
K+G Wetter and Josef Koch AG first joined
together in 2002.
Appreciated reliability
Since this time the family company has been
the official general agency in Switzerland for
advice, sales, installation and maintenance of
K+G machines. “Since we sold the first K+G
bowl cutter twin in 2003, we have worked
closely and very successfully with K+G Wetter.
Until today, together we have managed to
acquire a large number of Swiss meat product
and food producers as partners,” stated Viktor
Koch, Commercial Director of Josef Koch AG.
Together with his two brothers, Franz and Hugo
Koch, he is a member of the Executive Board.
Based in Malters (Lucerne), the company offers
with over 30 employees everything to do with
technology for meat production. What he par-ticularly
appreciates about the German partner
is the reliability of the machines. “K+G Wetter’s
machines have always impressed us and our
customers with an intelligent combination of
tried-and-tested features and at the same time
progressive ideas.
Solution finders
As a result the company offers machines which
produce top quality meat products with optimal
food safety and hygiene,” explaines Viktor
Koch. Both the Swiss company and the Hessian
solution finders of K+G Wetter place great
emphasis on a collaborative and trusting rela-tionship.
“Our team is always fully committed
to finding the right solution for our customers.
We are very happy to have found in Josef Koch
AG a reliable partner by our side with which
we can have a personal and direct presence in
Switzerland for our customers,” explained K+G
Sales Director Volker Grebe. A quality which
unites the two companies. And which will also
be the recipe for success for the German-Swiss
teamwork in future. www.kgwetter.de,
