The machine builders at alco
food machines in Lower Saxony
are focusing on evolution instead
of revolution. Their insight, with
which they adapt their plants to
current market requirements: Small
changes are enough to convert a
convenience line for meat products
into a corresponding line for alter-native
proteins and vegan foods.
From mixing to cooling, vegan
chicken, burger patties or gyros,
for example, go through exactly
the same processing steps as a con-ventional
meat product. The secret
to flavor and consistency lies in the
preparation or standardization and
seasoning of the product at the
beginning of the process.
As part of the standardization line,

and preparation of vegetarian and

(HDI) provides a standardized inter-face
for easy communication with
data processing systems for process
optimization. For complex auto-mated
production lines, Handt-mann
Line Control (HLC) enables
real-time status monitoring as well
as automatic program switching of
the entire production line via the
Handtmann vacuum filler control.
The Handtmann Monitoring
Function (HMF) stops the filling
and portioning line independently
if quality-relevant parameters are
undercut or exceeded. This means
that production errors can be re-duced
or even avoided altogether.
The Machine Setup Assistant MSA
from Handtmann automatically
generates a suggestion for the
equipment and setting of the
machine based on product speci-fications
such as weight, length or
casing type. This supports new/in-experienced
operators and ensures
safe production. When producing
shaped products, Handtmann
Product Visualization HPV offers
easy setting of the desired product
shape by graphically displaying
it on the vacuum filler control.
