Weitere gemeinsame Projekte seien bereits geplant. www.wirsol.com Five roofs with photovoltaic modules, a peak output of 366.23 kilowatt peak (kWp), 100% own use: Hans Alder OHG in Bonndorf in the Black Forest is not only one of the largest producers of ham and sausage specialities in Germany, but also one of the most sustainable companies in the meat sector. After only three weeks of con-struction work the company was equipped with a photovoltaic on-roof installation by Wirsol. A second system is to be in place on the roof even before the end of this year. Second system on its way The project engineering company and energy services provider Wirsol from Waghäusel in Baden-Württemberg has already installed 1082 solar modules for the trading company. A further 310 will follow with the second system. The photovoltaic units are already producing just under 350 kWh electricity per year – enough to supply power to over 120 one-person households. However, managing director Peter Adler does not feed the self-generated electricity into the power grid. Instead he focusses on full self-consumption. And it is paying off – even without EEC pay-ments. „The Adler plant is the first photovol-tanic Energieeffizienz Energy efficiency sytem we have designed and built for 100% own use“. A feed-in tariff is not neces-sary at all“ says Wirsol sales director Johannes Gross. Energy-intensive production „With the installation of the photovoltaic sys-tem we have moved a good deal closer to our goal of full self-sufficiency“. Our vision is clear: „In future we want to produce our entire electricity requirement ourselves, to the greater part though renewable energy“ explains Peter Adler. Not such a simple task considering the high heat and power con-sumption of his ham and sausage production plant! However, the conversion to renewab-le energies is giving him and his company a major competitive edge. And to safeguard this in future too the company wants to continue working with Wirsol and utilise its expertise gained through 13 years of project planning experience. „We will carry on supporting Hans Adler OHG in its development into an independent and flexible participant on the energy market“ says Dr Peter Vest, managing director at Wirsol.
